Indian River County Recreation Department
Statement of Function
The Indian River County Recreation Department provides, operates and publicizes recreational programs and facilities for the use of County residents and visitors of all age groups. It also provides trained, certified water safety personnel at County beaches and aquatic facilities. Funding for the various programs and administrative costs come solely from the County's M.S.T.U. fund. This department accounts for the cost of programs directed at residents living in the unincorporated areas of the County.

Cheerleading and Football Registration
The Indian River County Recreation Department will begin
taking registration for cheerleading, flag and tackle football on May 1st. Receive a $5.00
discount for Cheerleading, Tackle, and Flag Football if you sign up before July 1st.

Youth Basketball Registration
Open Adult Dodgeball: It’s time to unleash your inner child!! The Indian River County Recreation Department will let you do just that with its New Upcoming Spring Adult Program, Open Dodgeball. Friday nights 6-8pm starting March 10th with a cost of $5.00 per person - Ages 18 and up. For more information, please contact Dane MacDonald at 226-1735, or Scott Seeley at 226-1729. We are currently looking for instructors certified to teach the following:
- Swim Lessons
- Water Aerobics/ Fitness
- Zumba (land and or water)
- Swim coach for a Masters program
